Aptos Natural Foods

Two young and emerging artists, each working primarily in black and white film photography, are featured at Aptos Natural Foods for this First Friday.

Jo Palmer, a science major, has found community and inspiration from peers and instructors at Cabrillo's Photography Department, and in the blending of art and science that photography requires.

Carter Garcia-Kimura states "I shot my first roll of 35mm film in September 2016, using my dad’s old Nikon FA"
It did not take long for Carter to become immersed in composing and processing black and white film photography.

Join these two artists for a reception on First Friday. There work will be on view and available for purchase throughout January.

Aptos Natural Foods , 7506 Soquel Dr.
6:00 pm - 8:00pm

The feel of a place gets under the skin, then into the brain, down to the fingers on the brush or stick and onto the surface. The challenge for me is always …
