The focus of my work is the exploration of daily events that may be overlooked as we move quickly through our lives. These explorations convey a reverence for intimate settings, an acknowledgement of beauty in the humblest of situations, humor when it seems impossible, the importance of friends and family, a concern for the environment and an appreciation of our stunning west coast.
My favorite medium is acrylic paint applied to canvas or wooden panels. My goal is to engage the viewer, via a loose application of paint, boldness of color and line and an energetic presentation of shapes.
I have a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Central Michigan University. I have studied in the fine arts programs at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Cabrillo College.
