Deborah Good holds a BFA and participated in graduate studies in painting at San Francisco State University. Her paintings and photographs are informed by a lifetime of studies in design, composition, color, art history, symbolism, metaphysics and philosophy. Primary inspirations are the painters Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner and Jackson Pollock as well as the composer John Cage's use of chance procedures to eliminate artistic preferences in his work.
