Photography

My name is Emily Pomeroy. I'm originally from New York, and have been living on the Central Coast of California since 2017. I always had an affinity for nature and the outdoors. Growing up I spent a lot of time outside, which allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for the natural world.

As I grew older, I came to find that I had a knack for science, and also a growing concern for the environment. This caused me to pursue a degree at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, where I graduated with a degree in Wildlife Science.

Since college, I have focused my career in forwarding conservation through environmental education and outreach, research, and marine mammal rehabilitation. I hope to connect people with nature and give them the tools to understand how to care for it. This is also where my photography comes in, as I hope that some of my subjects will encourage others to explore the natural places around them to discover the same beauty that I have found.

To pursue my goal of protecting the environment, I donate a portion of all my sales to environmentally minded non-profits. I also try and create my products in the most sustainable way that I can. I purchase frames at thrift stores, print my cards on recycled paper, and other products are purchased through local print shops. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! Check out my website to see some of my work!
