Hi, my name is Evan Siegesmund and I'm an artist and educator in in Santa Cruz, California.
My art is inspired by the world around me, and the places that I visit. From peaceful costal tidal pools to the peeling fliers and sloppy tags of the Bay Area I find inspiration in the world around me. I draw on whimsy and color to create layered paintings that brighten spaces and spread love.
While sometimes the world around us can be overwhelming and saddening, I choose to create art that promotes fun and positive energy. I believe at its core art can be fun and inspire your imagination. Whether in a gallery or personal space I believe my art brings joy and positivity to any space.
