Judi Oyama

Pleasure Point-native Judi Oyama designer, artist, former surfboard airbrusher, and skateboard silk-screener, the owner/creator of the side hustle brand Badass Skatemom. She one of the first female skaters during the 1970s who were tearing up the parks, empty pools, and racing downhill. Oyama is a local mother, runs a one person design company Maximum Impact Design creating marketing materials, packaging, signage for small and large companies. She designed Beckmann's Bread logo and collaborated with Jimbo Phillips on the Santa Cruz Wave Skatepark public art project as well as many other notable projects around town. Judi was inducted to the Skateboard Hall of Fame 2018 and has the longest skateboarding career of record.
