Michelle Nicely (aka Michelle Green) is a resident artist with a wonderful family raised and living on the funky fun westside of Santa Cruz CA. "Nicely" is also fine art gallery with vintage decor and restored antiques. The downtown gallery is curated by Michelle, including all her own fine art work. www.NicelySantaCruz.com. A graduate of The University of Texas in Austin, Michelle received her Bachelor of Fine Art in studio art in 1990; painting and photography. After leaving Texas to pursue life in California three plus decades ago, she landed in the heart of Hollywood's film industry; working her way up from a scenic artist to Production Designer and was inducted into The Art Directors Guild. #ADG800
Michelle's portfolio includes jobs for a few famous folks: Graham Nash, Chris Squire of YES, Aerosmith, Back St. Boys; winning MTV "best music video" as production designer, with Joseph Kahn Dir., Olsen Twins with Tapestry Films , Ozzy Osbourne/ Dir. Jeff Panzer, Dr. Dre, interior design for Mari Winsor and recently for Jamie Foxx along with wrap arounds for Nickelodeon & MTV. Her feature film work includes: “Who’s Your Daddy?" and "Space Kids". Michelle served as resident muralist for “Martin Lawrence Galleries” on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA. Her scope of work also includes interior decorating, portraiture, landscapes and painting large montages in oils with iconic themes from travels around the globe. Commissions always welcomed. She is also an accomplished Special Educator in the Monterey Bay Communities.
