Be Heart Now/Nectar is SOOOO excited to host the ohh sooo VERY brilliantly colorful art... of Andrea Garvey... and the AMAZING artist/illustrator Amy Sirota...
“Creating Smiles Through Colorful Art”
Andrea was born in the UK, moved as a young girl to Western New York, and then kept
traveling West until she reached one of the most beautiful, breathtaking spots on the
planet. She is fortunate to live in Aptos, California where she can
find her artistic passion while being surrounded by supportive family and friends.
Since winning an international art competition at the age of 7, Andrea has never
stopped drawing or creating. She received a BFA in Graphic Design and then spent the
next 20 years as a Creative Director in corporate America. She is now living her dream
painting every day, mostly on commissions and personal work as well as teaching
workshops in her beautiful studio.
Andrea has an intuitive painting style and is happiest getting lost in the process with all
the details and layers that go into her work. She chooses colors that make her happy -
inspired of the beauty that is all around us. Orange and pink, turquoise and red. Colors
that are magical when painted together.
The sea is an endless source of wonder and imagination for Andrea which is probably
why her favorite color is blue, while the mild seasons by the beach give her endless
amount of floral inspiration from all the beautiful gardens.

ABOUT AMY SIROTA>>>> AMYSIROTA.COM
I fell into the printing field at the tender age of 15, taking an offset printing course at a technical school after being drawn to the teachers' likeness to Ted Nugent. I quickly realized that this occupation could fill the perfect niche in my soul—utilizing my creativity and technical skills, as well as to fulfill a penchant for noisy machines. Many years later, this ever-changing trade still fascinates me. One real benefit of having been in the field for this long is that I am a true typographer, a fast-disappearing skill in this day. I have worked for ChaseVP, a Bay Area commercial print shop for over 20 years, designing new projects and performing pre-press operations on incoming not-so-perfect files, as well as working for local graphic designers to help with their overflow work, and also running my own company so *I* get to be the boss every so often!
