The Year of Water

Water is my passion, my hope, my medicinal liquid! Because it connects us all and is always at risk, I seek to make work that gives the observer the depth of feelings that water evokes for me. Impressions of weightlessness, buoyancy, freedom, happiness, beauty, lightness, the awe and fear of the unknown! With great respect for water in all of its forms, I wish to emulate its powerfulness in how it makes us feel. I want those feelings to be available to us in our daily lives, to have access to in our homes. We can’t always visit a pool, a river, a stream or an ocean as often as we need to. I attempt to give the viewer a visceral sense of immersion in waters exquisite nature.
