For First Friday in August, Artisans & agency is thrilled to feature Honolulu-based artist Kris Goto. With roots in Japan and a life shaped by time in Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Hawai‘i, Kris brings a global lens to island life. Her dreamy, inked surf scenes blend manga-inspired detail with local Hawaiian culture—where surfer girls float through curling waves and surreal moments. The result is work that feels both playful and profound, lighthearted and layered. Stop by to see her prints in person, and ride the wave of this unique visual world.
Debra Collins is a jewelry artist and metalsmith, who specializes in creating handmade pieces that are one-of-a-kind and inspired by organic, natural shapes. She loves the challenge of working with these unusual shapes and creating unique designs in metal. Many of the pieces that she creates are influenced by ancient raw stones that have been shaped and textured by millions of years of wind, water, heat, and cold. She works in metals such as sterling silver, brass, and copper using traditional and ancient metalsmithing techniques to mimic these ancient textures and become beautiful pieces of nature-inspired wearable art.
