Illuminée is proud to present the abstract paintings of Gene Holtan at our studio location for an encore show. If you couldn’t make it last month, you’re in luck! On April 7th from 5-8:00 pm we will be hosting an encore event featuring his artwork.

About the Artist:
Born in Saskatchewan Canada, Gene Holtan was a commercial artist and cartoonist in the 60s and 70s. His work was published in The Saturday Evening Post, Rolling Stone, and Ramparts magazines. In 1974, he settled on Beach Hill in Santa Cruz, where he would frequently hold court with other local artists. He took on abstract painting in the last 16 years of his life, some of which will be on display at Illuminée Studio.
