First Friday of May at MK Contemporary Art – May 2, 6 to 8 PM
In partnership with Santa Cruz Pride, honoring the 50th Anniversary Celebration, “Here to Eternity”, a bold and moving celebration of queer creativity and expression, (we will also be hosting an Artist Reception, Saturday May 3rd, 4-6PM).

Featuring work by local and regional LGBTQ+ artists, this exhibition honors the unbroken timeline of the queer experience – past, present, and future. From vibrant paintings to immersive installations, Here to Eternity uplifts stories of identity, love, resilience, and belonging.

Exhibiting artists: Jason Adkins, Lauren Crux, Janet Fine, Angela Gleason, James Groleau, Emanuela I. Harris Sintamarian, Hedwig M. Heerschop, Tobin W. Keller, David Ligare, Doug McDonald, Quinn René Peck, Beth Shields, Lynne Todaro, and Daniella Woolf. The work of the artists in the “Here to Eternity” will be displayed alongside the extraordinary work of 25+ local and regional artists who are represented by the gallery. We will also welcome students from Fashion Teen Santa Cruz sharing their creative projects.
