Join us for First Friday April 7th from 5-9PM to celebrate Liz Mazurek opening a new pottery studio in the Michelangelo Arts center, right next to MUD Gallery!  Come for refreshments and snacks as well as local music and photography.

This studio will primarily be a production studio for Liz’s ceramic work and will also be a “date night” studio where friends, parents and kids, co-workers, couples and curious folks can try their hand on the potter’s wheel.  (First timers strongly welcomed!) Come by, meet Liz and stay for the vibes!

About Liz:

I have been working with clay for the past decade; beginning in high school and graduating with a BFA and focus in clay in 2018.  Ceramics is my passion and would love to share it with my community.  I moved to Santa Cruz in 2022 from Fort Collins, Colorado, where I was teaching clay for four years prior and decided it was time to start my own studio.  I can’t wait to meet passionate locals and spread the joy of clay!  My work resembles bodily texture and undulation captured in the form of curvy sculptures and soft, ergonomic functional wares.  I invite you to come look at, interact with and feel the work!

This is where students will come learn to make a pot on the potter’s wheel!
