We, Joseph Jason Santiago LaCour and Rica Smith de la Luz aka Sacred Poets invite visitors to our new exhibit Mud, Blood and Jungle Juice: A Retrospective, featuring photos and videos of our personal explorations in ancient body art practices used to anchor us in the world and remind us of our sacredness. Honoring the human form as the original canvas, and the ancient urge to adorn and identify peoples and place making through the use of plant based pigments and marks. Accompanied by poetry and music also created by us, we offer a container that vibrates with love, grief, healing, resonance and humility: just facets of the human experience.
Showing from 5.2.25 through 7.25.25 we celebrate the first anniversary in our gorgeous light filled gallery and studio at the Tannery Arts Center, located in the Courtyard at 1060 River St. #108.
Gallery Hours are Sundays from 10-4 and by appointment. We will be open Friday May 2, 2025 from 5-8pm. Follow for more dates of workshops, our Sunday afternoon Artist Salon Series, and show closing concert.
