Bringing together the works of eight diverse artists with a compelling array of paintings, sculptures, prints and mixed-media works by artists from Santa Cruz, San Jose and San Francisco.

Each piece in this exhibition represents a moment of intersection – between materials, ideas, and experiences. The work captures the fleeting, almost ethereal, nature of an encounter, while challenging perception, provoking curiosity and hopefully leading to moments of introspection and connection.

Artists: Kyoko Fischer, James Groleau, Laura Jacobson, Lorraine Lawson, Katherine Levin Lau , Moto Ohtake, Carrie Ann Plank, Robynn Smith. "Encounter" will be on view from October 4th to November 24th.

The work of the artists in the "Encounter" exhibition will be displayed alongside the extraordinary work of 25+ local and regional artists who are represented by the gallery.
