Out of Office – Works by Mike Bencze

Since 2016, Mike Bencze has been documenting hiking trips and interpreting landscapes through illustration and silkscreen prints. His style is filtered through the lens of comic books and graphic novels, utilizing detailed linework, stylized effects, and rich colors. Each piece serves as a visual meditation from a particularly humbling, awe-filled moment, often reflecting on how small and insignificant one is in relation to it all.

Mike has a degree in graphic design, but his illustration and screen printing knowledge is self-taught. His process consists of a mix of traditional pencil and ink combined with digital coloring, while his multi-color silkscreen pieces are meticulously designed and hand-printed in a small room in his house.
