Release of Spring, Remembering Summer
Sacred Mud Gallery invites you to experience the botanically inspired arts of 3 Women Artists in our opening exhibition during the 20th anniversary of First Friday SC.
Spring Smith is an artist, award winning acupuncturist & herbalist at Santa Cruz Family Acupuncture. Her love of the botanical world is channeled into her gorgeous watercolors, embodying the healing essence of plants. Archival giclees, cards and healing tea blends will be for purchase, framed prints exhibited through July.
Kaitlin Hebard, founder of Yuzu & Rose Indigo for Family & Home, is a seasoned instructor of Shibori and Indigo surface design, offering classes through Cabrillo Extension and private events. Her study of shibori across California, Japan and Hawaii brings a unique blend of tradition and innovation to her work. She will be featuring her DIY indigo kits and enrolling for her summer classes.
Rica Smith de la Luz is a locally grown consummate artist of whatever catches her dancer fancy! Owner of the new Sacred Mud Henna & Tattoo Healing Gallery at the Tannery Arts Center and cofounder of Sacred Poets, her work speaks to the ancient and wild in each of us. This month will feature her Painted Bones and Botanical Assemblage, DIY Henna cones and list of upcoming classes.
