Return to Santa Carla is a community art show celebrating Santa Cruz, The Lost Boys, and the strange, beautiful, enduring connection between the real place and the mythical Santa Carla it inspired.

The exhibition brings together work from Santa Cruz County artists alongside fans and artists from around the world, showing how one film—and one very particular place—has continued to spark creativity, nostalgia, obsession, and imagination nearly four decades later.

At its heart, Return to Santa Carla is about community, memory, and belonging: local artists responding to a piece of Santa Cruz cultural history, international fans sharing what the film and its world have meant to them, and all of those perspectives coming together in the place where it began.
