More about the Artist:

Kelley Badgley is a local artist from Vacaville who’s “day job” is a graphic artist. She’s been doing computer graphics since 1996, and has been creative all her life. When she’s not working on a computer, she’s burning the day away.

Pyrography (writing with fire) as it is called, also known as “wood burning”, has been used for hundreds of years, and has made a resurgence in the art world in the past 40 years or so using modern electric tools. Kelley has been burning since 2015 and is not slowing down anytime soon. She won first place in her category at the Vacaville Art Gallery Juried Art Show in 2018. She’s burned everything from simple wooden spoons to elaborate electric guitars. Her ultimate goal is to do a table or perhaps a full sized door. If it’s unfinished wood, look out!
