When is the First Friday Santa Cruz Art Tour?

Every First Friday evening of every month! Rain or shine.

What time does it happen?

Most of the events happen in the evening between 5-9pm but it varies at each location. Check the event listings for specifics.

How much does it cost?

First Friday is FREE! First Friday is all about amplifying art and artists in our community so the art tour is free but please consider doing a little shopping while you’re there. Don’t go crazy on the cheese and crackers and with all that money you’re not spending for a ticket to the best party of the month, we hope you buy some really cool local art.

How do I know where to go?

Where do I start?

Go where the mood takes you! We recommend checking out the listings to find the most intriguing event to you and starting from there. Or if you’re not into traveling far from home, check the listings to see what’s happening in your part of town. Use our map to help guide you around.

How do I get there?

First Friday Santa Cruz happens all over the County in lots of great neighborhoods. It’s pretty easy to plan your First Friday adventure to minimize driving like parking downtown and walking to each event or stopping at the Tannery Arts Center to explore the open studios and public art exhibits. But, if you’re adventurous like we usually are, buzzing around in your car from place to place is always an option!

Can I bring my kids?

Of course! First Friday Santa Cruz is family friendly and there are often great events and exhibits especially geared toward the younger art enthusiast. We recommend checking the listings to make sure the artwork on display at your destination is age appropriate.
