Kendra has developed a unique wood burning technique mixed with painting and collage. This is a pieces that really needs to be studied in person! Kendra writes, “Kawa to Sora reflects my respect for the Japanese culture and the rich influence of Japanese art, especially woodblock prints. The great blue heron takes center stage, and is accompanied by spherical glimpses into the native life that exists around it.” Kendra’s work is part of “450 Pieces” - an exhibition in partnership with @artscouncilsc @radiusgallery @rblitzergallery. The show features over 450 pieces of original artwork by artist throughout Santa Cruz County.
