SATORI emerges from lessons learned, decades of seeking: to see, to think, with the intention to understand, to "B". Rene Descartes the 1600 philosopher, scientist, mathematician suggested the importance of reasonable doubt. Doubt encourages us to ask Why? without which we fall victim to the belief that because we thought it- it is so.

In 2020 the pandemic forced the closure of my studio in St. Louis after 10 years incubating and premiering performative work. It was here that I produced my original performances and explored the possible in Milano Italy, New York, Chicago, St. Louis, and now in Santa Cruz CA.

I am reopening SATORI here in Santa Cruz and inviting you to visit helping to define what's possible. I will be producing original performance art and inviting other artists to make their comment on the state of being. through their original work. I recognize in the struggle to actualizing creative thought it is the resulting friction between concept and the physical that spawns innovation, constituting the step beyond language to encourage the embrace of intuitive knowledge.

My name is Tom Brady a performance artist that began doing this complex work in 1972. I seek to share whispered wisdom manifesting work through the juxtaposition of stage as sculpture, soundscapes that transcend, movement, film and video mapping that alters what is known,

Audience is asked to make meaning from the quiet of their own thoughts - to become co authors.
