My name is Anya Bates. I am a mom, artist, and an associate Expressive Arts Therapist. Art and creativity are a part of my practice for self-care, and to reduce stress and burnout. My art portfolio includes abstract mixed media, photography, and watercolor paintings. My self-care practice includes making art with paint or photography, walking on beaches, hiking in the redwoods, dancing, traveling, trying new foods, cooking, and spending quality time with family and loved ones. Creativity brings me pleasure and playfulness, moments of calm and relaxation, and gives me a moment to pause and check-in with myself.
