As a ceramic artist, I mostly use mid-fire clay bodies. I find a wide variety of textures from many sources such as cloth, lace, leaves, buttons as wells textured rolling pins and custom-made molds. Most of my hand-built designs are inspired by nature and living near the ocean means my sea-themed pieces are very popular. I like beautiful and functional art with a touch of whimsy. I tend to use overlapping glazes on my fired pieces to create unique combinations of colors.

My entire family is very artistic and growing up around them has inspired me to follow in their footsteps. I’ve experimented with everything from landscaping design to stained-glass and lamp-work glass bead making, to creating jewelry using sterling sliver and semi-precious stones. At times, I combine multiple mediums in my final ceramic creations.
