Santa Cruz Korean Art Gallery is Authentic Korean heritage art with a western aspect. Korean rice paper art, such as Rice paper doll, Korean wrap ( Pojagi), and more.
Santa Cruz Korean Art Gallery is located in the Tannery Arts Center Studio 114. The goal and mission of Santa Cruz Korean Art Gallery is to give people an opportunity to learn about traditional Korean art by giving free educational experience to the Santa Cruz community. In the studio one can view Korean art, but regular demonstrations on the forms and methods of creating traditional Korean art will be also be held. The Santa Cruz Korean Art Gallery does not limit itself to traditional Korean art, but also contains Korean art influenced by Western culture. Examples of art one many find in the Santa Cruz Korean Art Gallery are rice paper dolls, Korean fans, baby shoes and more.
Santa Cruz Korean Art Gallery also hosts Korean traditional first baby birthday parties, which are a very important and special celebration for babies and family .
EunKyung also hosts events with UCSC Korean American students where they model traditional clothing that was worn by Kings and Queens about 500 years ago, and participate in a Royal Procession.
