Jeff Pritchard is an aspiring artist known for his intricate and thought-provoking sculptures that attempt to turn inanimate refuse into representations of the natural world. Raised on the Monterey Peninsula, Jeff Pritchard grew up surrounded by the nature, which continues to influence his artistic practice.
Through a combination of traditional craftsmanship, experimental techniques, and pure, dumb luck , Jeff creates complex, layered works that explore the intersections of nature, ecology, and the relationship human beings have with waste. Jeff's sculptures often incorporate found materials, such as wood, metal, wire, and plastic which are transformed through processes of manipulation and assembly.
Jeff Pritchard currently lives in the South Bay and works on the Monterey Peninsula where he continues to push the boundaries of his medium and explore new ways of exhibiting the natural world while simultaneously expressing the complexities humans have with their discarded material.
