Born in Santa Cruz, California, Ondrea Barbe began her career in commercial and fine art photography. For twenty years, Ondrea has used her still photography and filmmaking skills to celebrate the female experience – from inspiring stories of breast cancer survivors to advertising campaigns encouraging self-love and acceptance.
Ondrea skillfully and honestly captures and conveys the inner strength and genuine beauty of all women, and strives to highlight the many different expressions of female empowerment for the promotion of positive social change.
In addition to Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Pretty Powerful Campaign, Dove and P&G Breast Cancer Awareness, she has worked for L'Oreal, Garnier, Olay, Clinique, Pantene, Target, Aveeno, Jane Iredale, Mary Kay, P&G, Origins, Elizabeth Arden, Alcon, Acuvue, Roc, Rimmel, Clearasil, and Lenscrafters.
Her celebrity clients include Meryl Streep, Tina Fey, Sigourney Weaver, Mariah Carey, Amanda Seyfried, Rita Ora, Amy Adams, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristen Bell, Salma Hayek and Sally Field.
Ondrea has hosted podcasts for New York Women in Film and Television, Women Crush Wednesdays where she has interviewed Nadia Hallgren for Michelle Obama's documentary, Believe and Deborah Kampmeier's film, Tape as well as hosting vigils and offerings with San Francisco based, LetsReimagine.org.
Ondrea is an active volunteer at Hospice of Santa Cruz and Monarch Services.
